More About Melissa

Last weekend there was three inches of snow on my picnic table (see 10-22 post), now it’s 75 degrees and bluebird skies. I love Colorado!

Just a quick update for the two of you following this blog. I’m in the process of changing everything over to WordPress and will be back in action soon. Don’t give up on me!

In the meantime, check out this video. It’s short and worth a look if you’re at all into preventive medicine and “alternative” approaches to health care.

I’ll be back!

In good health,
Melissa

Thanks for the video! We watched it yesterday and loved it. I think I laughed too hard at my desk and now all my office mates know I’m certainly not doing physics.

I wish we had his show on our cable package. Is he on HBO?

And since when is real, natural, and healthy medicine and prevention (diet, exercise) alternative???! That term frustrates me. It doesn’t seem very natural to take a pill

How’s the site revision going? I have to keep re-subscribing to your live bookmark since it seems to get corrupted and not reload every time you update. No problem, just thought I’d let you know.

I just sent the video and a blurb about you to my family and a few friends. I imagine that my parents will react negatively to it since they are each on about 30 pills or whatnot- discouraging, huh? I try to talk to them and I gave the printed out research, articles, and bottles of vitamin B and D for depression as Christmas stocking stuffers last year. I bet the bottles are still unopened.
I did manage to convince my dad and his conventional doctor to start him on a chromium and vitamin B regime to help with his blood sugar (score!)

Any nutritionist advice? I love that video, I just watched it again to cheer me up.

Love those blue skies! North Carolina has some like that too, and the bright leaves just “pop” against the blue backdrop. – I read your blog every day, and I got a big laugh from the video. Thanks for sharing it.

    Annie,

“North Carolina has some like that too,”

It does? Where in NC are you? I don’t remember seeing skies like that, granted my existence is limited to either a lab or our kitchen. Where’s a skylight when you need one?

  5. Cindy says:

    Melissa,
Where art thou? We all miss you! I really hope Word Press if up soon so we can all see your Thanksgiving yummies. How are you? ~Sniffle~ We’re going into yak withdrawal!
