Go Gluten-Free Rockies!

Aside from the fact that the Rockies are wild-card favorites and that Todd Helton hit his 500th double and the game-winning home run last night at Coors Field, soon we’ll have the first gluten-free concession stand in the major leagues. Yeah! We’ll have gluten-free hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches, brownies and even beer. Yes, gluten-free beer at “Coors” Field. How cool is that?!

Go Rockies!
Melissa
P.S. I always bring my own little “gourmet” sack dinner to the ballpark, so this will be lost on me, but it’s great to have gluten-free options. Yippee!

I love it when businesses listen to what the consumers need! Kudos to Coors Field for taking their food service to a whole new level!

  2. Kay says:

Gee, and I’m still trying to get our ball park to carry Red Bridge beer, JUST BEER!

  3. Miles says:

    Melissa,
    Sounds great!…is it baseball?!!!
    Excuse my ignorance.

    Melissa,

That’s pretty incredible and well played to Coors Field. Snacks at our sporting grounds rarely resemble food so it sounds like you’ve got it going on.

Would you believe you’ve got something of a British baseball fan here? I started watching in ’98 and was treated to the McGwire vs Sosa race to beat Roger Maris’ HR record and Cal Ripken’s absolutely amazing consecutive games record. I sort of, unofficially support the Reds, but I’ll change allegiance if all you guys get behind Lancashire Cricket Club. 🙂

    Lo,

Yeah for Coors Field! A whole new level is right since the stadium is literally a mile high.

    🙂

  6. Melissa says:

    Kay,

You’ll have to get on them and let them know the trend has started! And I love it that it’s “COORS” Field that is the first ball park to serve GF beer.

  7. Melissa says:

    Miles,

Baseball, indeed! The all-American sport. We have a beautiful ballpark and the Rockies are playing “lights out” right now.

  8. Melissa says:

    GDave,

Are you sure you don’t have any American blood in you? You’re on target with your baseball jargon, but we’ll have to get you on board with the Rockies rather than the Reds. We’re in wild card contention right now.

I noticed you’re saying “you guys.” You’ve had some American influence somewhere. Western American influence. Those of us out here in the west say “you guys.”

P.S. Go Lightning! Does Thwaites make a gluten-free beer?

  9. Monica says:

    Kay, which ballpark is that?

  10. Kay says:

    Hi Monica,
My ball park is Victory Field in Indianapolis. Got any connections? Can you help me out? I’m still not eating ANY food outside my own kitchen, but I’d love to have a beer while watching the game.

  11. Monica says:

Kay, no promises but I’ll make the suggestion!

  12. Melissa says:

    Monica,

Thanks! We love it when people like you help make our lives more fun!

You never know, Kay, maybe you’ll be drinking GF beer at the ball park next Spring!

  13. Debbie says:

Would love to know what your “gourmet” sack dinner consists of – it’s my biggest problem with enjoying baseball down here in Houston!
